Loss Adjuster Services

Loss Adjuster Services:

A loss adjuster plays a vital role in ensuring fair, transparent, and efficient insurance claim settlements. By independently investigating incidents, assessing damages, verifying policy coverage, and evaluating the extent of losses, loss adjusters help insurers make informed decisions while safeguarding the legitimate interests of policyholders. Their technical expertise, impartial assessments, and detailed reporting help minimize disputes, control fraudulent claims, and facilitate timely settlements. At Hallmark Consulting (Private) Limited, we are committed to delivering professional loss adjusting and risk inspection services built on integrity, accuracy, and trust.

Have you any question?

A loss adjuster examines the circumstances and proximate cause of the loss against the policy wording, including insured perils, exclusions, conditions, warranties, deductibles and applicable extensions. The adjuster documents the relevant findings and provides a technical assessment to the insurer. The final coverage decision rests with the insurer in accordance with the policy and applicable law.

The principle of average may apply when the sum insured is less than the actual value at risk at the time of loss, subject to the policy wording. In such cases, the claim may be reduced proportionately to reflect the degree of underinsurance. For example, if the actual value at risk is PKR 100 million and the sum insured is PKR 60 million, the average factor is 60%. For an otherwise admissible loss of PKR 10 million, the adjusted amount would be PKR 6 million before applying any relevant deductible or other policy provisions. The actual calculation depends on the applicable policy terms.

The required documents depend on the nature of the loss and the type of insurance policy. Common documents include the insurance policy, claim intimation, photographs of the damage, repair estimates, invoices, stock records, incident reports, and other relevant financial or technical records.
